Originally from New Haven, Connecticut. He studied classical music on saxophone under the direction of professor James Holden earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Education in 1995 from Virginia State University. He then went on to teach general music at the elementary level for grades K-4, while also assisting as a high school band director and choral instructor for three years in Surry County, Virginia. He would teach a fourth year at the middle school level in Washington, DC before moving to Los Angeles in 2001. 

Since relocating to LA, he has worked as a touring musician traveling the world reaching close to 40 countries with some of the tops names in the music industry. He has toured, performed, and or recorded with such artist like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Christina Aguilera, Barbara Striesand, James Taylor, and Beyoncé to name a few. He’s performed on countless television shows, award shows, the movies, etc. He also played in the Tonight Show Band starring Jay Leno for 3 years.

He is married to his wife Nicole, a Chemistry Teacher at Valencia High School and together they have three daughters, Morgan (13) and her twin sisters Ella & Emma (9). They also have two dogs, Fuego and Munchie! He brings a wealth of knowledge about the saxophone, about music, and about life, to the table. He knows the music industry from all aspects after experiencing a very successful career in it. He still continues to study the saxophone while teaching it privately, now for close to 25 years.
